PhysioFit’s humble beginnings started out of it’s owners garage over 8 years ago. It has grown into a team of 7 housed in a training studio over 8,300 sq. ft. The PhysioFit mission is to make exercise fun and create a comfortable yet challenging environment for our clients to learn and succeed in.

Our Exercise Physiologists are NSCA certified professionals whose priority is not only to motivate but educate each client, encouraging them towards whole wellness and increased quality of life.

What makes us different? We are the most academically dense training staff in Middle Tennessee. With a staff of 7 exercise physiologists, we are able to collaborate with each other and other professionals in health and wellness, hence providing the best exercise programming and nutrition for our clients.

Our goal is to help you reach your goal. Whether you have not exercised in years, or are an elite athlete, our Fitbosses℠ can help you get results. Our motto, “Be Active. Be Well,” is not just a motto, it’s the way we approach every interaction with our clients.

Brandi Binkley

Owner, Founder

Brandi Binkley is the founder and owner of Physiofit, a fitness facility that has grown from her garage to now an 8,300 sq ft. training facility in Nashville, TN.

Brandi is a veteran in the exercise and wellness industry, having been an Exercise Physiologist and coach for 17 years. After high school Brandi left her hometown in Tennessee and enlisted in the Navy and completed her service time assigned to an F/A 18 flight squadron, where she was responsible for Squadron Data/Flight Recorder Maintenance and Physical Training Coordination.

Post 9/11, she was assigned to duty on the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz. Upon leaving the Navy in 2003, Brandi attended McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana where she received her M.S. in Exercise Physiology. Upon completion of her degree, Brandi returned to Tennessee where she began her career as an Exercise Physiologist, focusing on comprehensive nutritional and physical guidance for her clientele, and in turn founded Physiofit.

In 2015 Brandi was awarded the NSCA Personal Trainer of the Year Award by her peers. Brandi becomes the 15th recipient and 3rd female to receive this prestigious honor. Nashville Lifestyles then profiled her as “one who overcomes”. She has been internationally recognized as a Health and Fitness Expert. Brandi has been the spotlight of many publications for her vision and forward thinking of the Fitness Industry. Her company PhysioFit has been called the Gold Standard in Personal Training and Group Fitness. PhysioFit is the only training facility with full employment of coaches requiring academic backgrounds in Exercise Science.

In late 2016 Brandi partnered with Technogym to consult on fitness programs and education for the industry and become a Technogym Master Trainer.

Brandi also devotes her time to the Nashville community by serving as President of the board for End Slavery TN, an organization that is devoted to promote healing of human trafficking survivors and strategically confront slavery in Tennessee. Brandi also serves on the Advisory Board for the NSCA in Tennessee. She is a member of the Todd Durkin Mastermind as well as Dave Ramsey’s Entreleadership.

Sam Jansen

Personal Trainer

Sam’s passion for fitness started in high school when he began weight training to enhance his football performance. He quickly learned he had a passion for strength and conditioning, which led to competing in weightlifting, where he went on to become the Florida state champion in the heavyweight division.

Despite being gifted in the weight room, Sam was heavily overweight in high school, weighing 280lbs by his senior year. Upon graduating, Sam decided to make a life change and lost 70lbs over the course of a year. It was at that point that Sam switched college majors to exercise science and devoted his career to helping others through fitness.

Sam went on to receive a masters of science in Exercise Science with a focus in Strength and Conditioning from Florida Atlantic University in 2018. During his final semester, Sam interned at Cressey Sports Performance where he had the opportunity to learn from some of the best strength and conditioning coaches in the world. There, he had hands-on experience training professional athletes in a variety of sports including baseball, football, tennis, water-skiing, and more.

Sam is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, personal trainer, competitive powerlifter, powerlifting coach, and has an M.S. in Exercise Science.

Molly Drew

Dietician

My name is Molly Drew and I’m a Board Certified Sports Dietitian (CSSD). My previous role was a Performance Dietitian for Army Special Operations.

All the nutrition and diet clutter found online and in the news can make it hard to know which path to take when starting your nutrition journey.

My role as a dietitian is to filter through the noise and guide you along a path to improve your health while also making sure the recommendations are science-based and realistic for you and your family.

A tailored nutrition plan is a powerful tool that can help you improve your athletic performance, promote better sleep, decrease your disease risk, enhance injury recovery, and upgrade your quality of life.
